What's coming in V.1.9?


Following the release of v.1.8 for the prototype, I'd like to share what I've been considering for the upcoming v.1.9 update.


Level Design Changes

While I want the school to remain realistic and seemingly functional in its design, I also want the school to be as fun as possible to explore, and fluid in its movement. In the next update I'll have some additional walkways to get to places easier, without having to leave the school building itself. I'm hoping too that this gives the school a more maze-like structure, and adds some interest in its design. As updates progress however, I'll be changing the school significantly to fit design decisions.


Item Functionalities/Mechanics

Almost all current item pick ups aren't usable except for the Plywood item which can be used as sight blocking objects. In the next update I'd like to add some actual uses for these items so they have some significance upon being picked up.

Improvements to the Day/Night System

As it stands each time you survive a night, the enemies remain and are multiplied through future nights. This problem will be fixed in the next update, giving you some breathing room during the day.

Performance and Bug Fixes

In this update I will also be fixing some various performance issues and bugs still plaguing the prototype.
