You may encounter performance issues and bugs in the demo. Many parts of the school also aren't finished, but I'd like for people to see the game's progress in a tangible way. I'll be updating the downloads as development progresses.
You may need a high-end machine to play the demo. However there are video settings.
Thank you!
Q/A
These are some questions that some may have about the game. If players have any other questions and I feel they're beneficial to know I will add them here.

What do you do in this game? What's the goal?
You wake up in a haunted high school completely absent of any teachers or other people. The player will be able to explore the school at their own pace. There will be locked off locations, which can only be accessed through certain means. You can find a good spot to make a base, fill it with items, fortify it, etc. There's enemies that spawn at night, and the game is peaceful during the day, giving you breathing room. The game is mostly a survival horror sandbox. The end goal is to eventually find a way to leave the high school, but this isn't possible until you've accomplished a decent amount.
Will there be combat? Can we fight back?
Absolutely, I have plans for first person weapons. But it will only be basic things, like a fireaxe and a pistol. I don't really plan on making this like a horror shooter. You'll also be able to build traps to secure parts of the school, and to be sly in combat.
Is there multiplayer?
For now I'm focused on making Akumu a single-player experience, and delivering on that as best as I can. But I realize that multiplayer with friends could be a lot of fun, and I definitely would like to add it in the future. However, I do have early plans to add asynchronous multiplayer features. More on this in the future.
When will the game be finished?
It's hard to say for certain since the project is so new. But the itch page will be routinely updated with new versions of the demo, and eventually EA versions. I like to publish frequently so there will always be new things for you to check out. But if you're a patient gamer then it doesn't hurt to wait until the game is certainly complete!
Does the game only take place in the school?
I have some unique plans to always make the school interesting. It will be ever changing and will become more corrupted as nights pass. I also would like to add some small outside areas that could only be accessible after doing certain tasks. Like an abandoned shed behind the school that you get to by crawling through a fence, etc.
How long is the playtime?
I'm planning on making the game a multi-hour experience. Ideally 2-3 hours. You have to survive an entire week in the school. However, once you reach the 7-day mark you'll have an option to keep playing or to finish your run completely.
